women pictures on dating sites are mostly models and they are unaware their pictures are being used. I once met a woman named rose, she was from africa, I met her on the dating site, american singles. We had good communications and somewhat of a meaningful friendship that could have delelop into something else. I never met the woman in person and she refused to get on a web cam. I grew suspicious when she didnt want to get on the web cam, I wanted to verify the pic to ensure she was the person who I was talking to. I ended the friendship and conversation with Rose when she ask me to purchase her a visa so she could come to the usa, Rose would never get infront of the camera and she would never meet my friends who lives in ghana..I wasted 2 months of precious time with Rose, I suspected the picture was that of a model and the person I was conversing with was a scammer and possibly a man from nigeria pretending to be Rose.Tell me this, has anyone found true love from a dating site????
Its very possible. I found it fours years ago and its still going strong. Dating sites are tricky.
Heres some tips:
-Date LOCALLY only- Africa? yeah bad idea
-Look for a picture that is not a modeling headshot or a seductive picture….usually fake or they have 300 other admirers…casual pictures with friends and family are a good indicator of a real photo
-Look for a profile with some substance and have one with some substance, be witty, be truthful and be interesting
-Be realistic…If you are not exactly rated a 10 in the looks department and "Sonya the russian super model" is emailing you up a storm…be suspicious! and if you wouldnt go up to "Sonya" in real life and hit on her because you know you wouldnt have a chance…don’t fool yourself and think you do online
-Do NOT bring up sex before meeting someone…even joking… you will scare off the good ones and keep the one who arent exactly looking for long term love
-Don’t come off too clingy or too casual …keep it simple let them know you dont know where things could go but you are eager to find out
-Don’t be afraid to be yourself from the start and realize it takes time.
