Dating in America?

Hey, i ve been living in the U.S. for two years already but havent dated here yet. I find it difficult here to understand when a girl likes me and whether or not i should ask her out anywhere. In my country it is ok for a girl to show some sympathy to a guy and to flirt with him, but here it seems that it must be the guy who has to make the first step. My main question is: how do you know in th u.s. that a girl likes me and what do American girls like in guys.

I don’t know where you come from, but trust me, flirting is the same world over. Is she looking at you? Complimenting? Making physical contact? That’s flirting. Asking her out, though, is your job. Good luck!
