I’m a gay foreign Asian guy and I’m confused about dating in America. I do like some white guys, but if I’m not wrong, most of them don’t go for Asians, is it true? I don’t mind dating other Asians at all, but there are just too few of them around, and sometimes they have some issues I don’t understand (the Asian Americans). But if you’re a minority and you date whites, people here will think you have identity/self esteem/gold digging etc. problems, right? I don’t really know who to date anymore.
I was never aware of all this racial consciousness in America before, but it does seem true. What should I do with it? Should I avoid Asians and whites and only date Latino and black guys??? It really weirds me out how this race thing is so complicated over here.
OK..Look Dude…I am white…and I don’t really care what race the other guy is. I tend to go for guys that LIKE ME! Sometimes I have been talking with latino guys, I have met white guys that really get off on the idea of an asian boyfriend. I haven’t dated a black guy but have had them hit on me before. I was always with someone else so it never came up. I have never personally dated an Asian guy, but if I was single and we had some connection I would so go for it. I have always ended up with white guys…just the way it went..but you know there are lots of them out there in the gay world. I don’t think it is an issue for most white guys, they would date you. Just wait till you see the next good looking fella and say Hi. I am sure he will say hi back if he is gay. I don’t think it is complicated, but I grew up in the deep south (Mississippi) and most gay guys I have met were way more interested in whether or not he had a pulse and was into dudes than what race he was. LOL Sure there are white guys that won’t date a Black guy, or an Asian, or even a Latino dude…but you know what…there are guys out there looking for a Black guy, an Asian, or a Latino specifically.
