Find The Best Resources For Dating In The USA

I asked a question in the singles/dating/realtionship area of Answers, no one has answered it yet as of yet…?

So I will ask it here in another panel and see if I get better results. I wanted to know if any of you ladies or men out there have ever dated anyone from Africa, whether it be Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, or what, but if so, what was your experience? Was it a good experience, would you date another person from this country or what? Last but not least, what country were they from? A friend of mine likes an African man on my job .He is single and a hardworker, he seems nice, clean, well-mannered and respectful, but you never know. I myself have dated African guys before and one experience was not good, but the other experience was good. But I have noticed that it is a difference than dating African American guys, which we both are used to the most. She has heard the stereotype about a lot of African men being abusive and womanizers, and although I tried to tell her these were just sterotypes, she wanted me to come here and find out what I could anyways. So any feedback would be helpful, thanks.

You need to look at the guy as a person and also talk to him to find out what his life ideologies and values are. Some guys, no matter where they come from, can have ideas that makes them be nice while dating but another person after marriage and that is a big issue that you want to know early on. To find out you can either be blunt or go "fishing" by asking leading questions now and then over a period of time and then add things up.

Look for ideas from his home culture. What religion does he belong to. What does he think of marriages in general?

Some African guys are bound by their tradition and culture and while the break free to date they turn back then they are done "playing" and start to get real and "adult". It doesn’t mean that they will be abusive but it might mean that they will change and that the change will cause tension in a relationship.
