Online dating crisis. Should I keep dating him?

A few months ago I joined this chatroom and met this really great guy. He’s sweet, romantic, respectful and always makes me feel special. But he lives in austrailia and I live in new jersey USA. Plus he’s about 16 and I’m only 13 and he doesn’t know that. I only know his age since he goes to Tafe. I’d tell him but I’m afraid he would not treat ne how he does. What 16 year old would want to date a 13 year old anyway? If you know what I can do to solve this or make it work please let me know.

Long distance relationships can work, but the chances are slim when its an overseas long distance relationship. I don’t think a 16 year old would like dating someone much younger. My advice to you is to let him go. You like him a lot, that’s understandable, but you’re young and I can guarantee you’ll find someone you like again. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I’ll give it to you straight, both of you are extremely young and chances are this relationship won’t work out even if he’s cool about your age. You two are just too far apart. Look for someone you like much closer to home. Its no fun dating when you can’t see or hang out with the person on a regular basis.
